Coldenhove’s patent reaffirmed in Germany

On Tuesday 16th of June 2015, the German Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichthof) in Karlsruhe has given its verdict in the case of Coldenhove Papier against Kaspar Papir.

The Court ruled that the European patent of Coldenhove Papier on sublimation transfer paper is indeed valid in Germany. By this verdict the German Federal Court of Justice has overruled the verdict of May 2013 of the German Patent Court (Bundespatentgericht).

Jeroen Alkemade, CEO of Coldenhove Papier, is pleased with the outcome of the proceedings, filed by Coldenhove:

“It proves that this European patent (EP1102682), awarded for many countries in Europe, has a solid base. It shows that our ingenuity and our innovation efforts are recognised and protected.

Customers demand high quality transfer paper and we invest heavily in the continuous research and development to find and achieve quality solutions. With this verdict justice is served”.

Should you have any questions in this regard, please contact Reshma Bhansing at reshma.bhansing@coldenhove.com.

Best regards,

Coldenhove Papier
